WHERE?

Camp Emek Beraka is held in the mountains at Boracko Lake near the

city of Konjic, in between Sarajevo and Mostar, two major cities of

Bosnia and Hercegovina.

WHAT DOES "Emek Beraka" MEAN?

In Hebrew "Emek Beraka" means "Valley of Blessing". In 2 Chronicles 20, the Lord turned what was meant to be a valley of defeat into a valley of blessing. Though the destruction of war can still be seen with destroyed houses and a once neglected field, we believe this name Emek Beraka proclaims like a trumpet the truth, purpose, and promises of God over Boracko Lake and the nation of Bosnia and Hercegovina!

WHAT IS THE VISION AND PURPOSE?

Purpose and Vision of the camps is to serve the Body of Christ in BiH in the areas of evangelism, discipleship and equipping for the work of the ministry in the church. Over the past 15 years the ministry of the Summer camps has brought many blessings in many different ways to the Church.

We have experienced ethnic walls fall down, broken hearts healed, lost people getting saved, young people called into ministry and Christian leaders strengthen, refreshed through fellowship with other leaders and Presence of the Lord! There is no ministry in this country whose effect is so overarching and of such importance for God's plan for the Balkans!

LONG TERM VISION

Recently we have purchased the camp site that we have been renting since 2002!

The next step is buying the rest fo the land before we enter into building stage.

The long term vision for the camps is to use it for:

1. Summer Camps for all the churches together

2. Summer Camp for one local church, or smaller regional groups of churches.

3. Winter Camps

4. Camps with special focus (adventure, extreme sports, student ministry, leaders...)

5. Christian Conferences and Seminars

6. Retreats

7. Available to other Christian organizations for use
